Didnโ€™t there have to be an initial verbal stimulus? I donโ€™t know if the last question is actually intraverbal

โ€œThere is no point-to-point correspondence between the stimulus and the response. Notice that both the stimulus and the response are in different modes than those in number 2. Remember that the stimulus can be either visual or auditory and the response can be either vocal or writtenโ€

Confusion here is because, in the โ€˜Defining Featuresโ€™ it says that the controlling variable is verbal.

This confused me too at first, but I think verbal behaviour according to Skinner can be any speech, sign, written language etc.
