Then how does DISCRIMINATIVE STIMULUS and STIMULUS differ?

A discriminative stimulus is a type of stimulus. A stimulus just describes the physical energy change that can be perceived by receptors, while a discriminative stimulus is a stimulus that determines the likelihood of a response (due to reinforcement availability).

This is a great way to teach this concept.

It was helpful to review these definitions.
