Verbal behavior is established and maintained by mediated reinforcement, but that does not mean that mediated reinforcement occurs every time a verbal response occurs. A great deal of operant behavior is maintained by intermittent reinforcement and many of the individual responses in an operant class are not followed by reinforcement.
This is why one of the irrelevant features of the concept of verbal behavior includes “the reinforcement features (such as its schedule and whether it is conditioned or not).” The question to consider is whether the response class (the whole group of similar responses, such as copying text) was likely established and maintained by mediated reinforcement.

This example does not specify how the action of copying is reinforcement maintained by another person
The action is performed on my own and no mediators has been involved. How will it be a verbal behavior?
These examples were super helpful in generalizing verbal behavior!
I am to guess that in the last example, the phone or device is the mediator, though I could be wrong.
I have the same question as the others, I did not understand how this is verbal behavior when there’s no social mediation.
