9.6 Rules for Completing Data Sheet During Probe Trial

This is the open-access version of this module and your progress is not tracked or recorded

Once the learner makes a correct response, provide the reinforcer and then record the details of the trial on the data sheet. Remember to follow these rules when completing the data sheet:

  1. If the learner answers correctly the first time without a prompt, circle “I” for independent.
  2. If the learner requires a prompt to answer correctly, circle the type of prompt required to bring about the correct response. Circle “G” for a gestural prompt, “P” for a partial physical prompt, or “F” for a full physical prompt. Do not circle all of the prompt levels used; only circle the one that brought about the correct response.

Once the data are entered, move on to the next probe trial until all are completed.
