What’s in a Name? Exploring What it Means to Supervise (Heather McGee, Jeana Koerber, & Sally Weigandt)

Due to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s recent release of the fifth-edition task list, supervision has become a common topic among Board Certified Behavior Analysts. However, the word “supervise” seems to hold various meanings. From a behavior-analytic perspective, what does it mean to “supervise?” The field of Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) offers over 40 years of research directly related to this question. Using information gained from the four decades of research, this series of presentations will walk the audience through a supervisor’s journey in identifying root causes of performance issues and building solutions that result in performance improvement.

An Intro to RFT

Fantastic presentation and content. Liked the frequent learning checks to be sure we could understand what was being taught. Nice format too. Very easy to use. I loved this course and look forward to more!

Easy to follow

RFT was confusing to me when we went over it in class. After going through these lessons, it seemed so much clearer!

The introduction to RFT module was an excellent resource. The material was appropriately paced, and presented well. Follow-up activities helped reinforce the material presented. Overall an excellent learning tool!

Great learning experience! much better than a textbook =.)

Great instructional design and fun!

Super enjoyable module that is well structured, fun, fast-paced, informative, and clear! This module is laced with humor that I think most BCBAs would enjoy. Everything is broken up into small chunks with tons of active student responding incorporated within to keep the pace fast and engaging. I was actually a little sad when it was over!
