Abstract: A wide range of feeding problems are common in children with autism spectrum disorders but perhaps the most common is eating a restricted variety of table foods. Specific behavioral strategies to introduce new foods and increase the amount of each new food are discussed in detail. Signs of oral-motor skills deficits that may block treatment progress are also reviewed.
